Christmas Delight

"Christmas in New York" by Robert Finale

Decorated christmas tree marked the arrival of the christmas season, as people and businesses began the preparation to celebrate the christmas festival. Whereby on 25th of December every year, the memory of Jesus Christ's life is reminded, the day when the son of God was born to atone the wrongdoings of human beings. The symbolic usage of the christmas tree can be rooted back since the 7th century, in which many people believe that St. Boniface had created the idea of using the christmas tree to illustrate the Christian belief of the "Holy Trinity of God, the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit," although centuries before Christ was born evergreen trees and leaves was popular in many cultures, used to celebrate the coming of spring. (ChristmasTreeHistory).

The history in decorating the chritsmas tree, however was believe to hadn't begun until the mid 15th century in Germany, where decorated christmas tree was evident to be used for the christmas fesitival. Gradually the idea of decorating the christmas tree with candles and other festive items began to spread across europe centuries after, as the Catholic Church had recognised this practise, and in other continent, like in America as the germans started to immigrante their along with their tradtion. Dated back since then and now in the 21st century, the custom of decorating christmas tree is still very popular with many new festive items and different versions and virations of the christmas tree that had evolved, where this tradtion had been adopted in many countries all over the world. (ChristmasTreeHistory).
