Christmas Delight

"Christmas in New York" by Robert Finale

Decorated christmas tree marked the arrival of the christmas season, as people and businesses began the preparation to celebrate the christmas festival. Whereby on 25th of December every year, the memory of Jesus Christ's life is reminded, the day when the son of God was born to atone the wrongdoings of human beings. The symbolic usage of the christmas tree can be rooted back since the 7th century, in which many people believe that St. Boniface had created the idea of using the christmas tree to illustrate the Christian belief of the "Holy Trinity of God, the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit," although centuries before Christ was born evergreen trees and leaves was popular in many cultures, used to celebrate the coming of spring. (ChristmasTreeHistory).

The history in decorating the chritsmas tree, however was believe to hadn't begun until the mid 15th century in Germany, where decorated christmas tree was evident to be used for the christmas fesitival. Gradually the idea of decorating the christmas tree with candles and other festive items began to spread across europe centuries after, as the Catholic Church had recognised this practise, and in other continent, like in America as the germans started to immigrante their along with their tradtion. Dated back since then and now in the 21st century, the custom of decorating christmas tree is still very popular with many new festive items and different versions and virations of the christmas tree that had evolved, where this tradtion had been adopted in many countries all over the world. (ChristmasTreeHistory).

This picture was taken in the middle of 2011, when I attended my senior sai rahud sister graduation ceremony day and bought her this gift, which can be named a Rod Pop plushie, or Chulalongkorn Pink Bus plushie, as these names denote what the gift is. I preordered this gift, in order to secure my intended purchase as I found this gift very unique and memorable. This is a symbol face of me drawn in microsoft word, using only simple shapes and lines, with fillings, of different colours to create my basic facial features and hair style from my perspective. Including my slightly high forehead, my black eyebrows, my medium size dark coloured eyes, with a streak of eyeliner on both sides of my eyes as I often wear eyeliner, my medium size nose, small pink redish colour lip, together essembled on my long oval shape face. Self Portrait :)

Self portrait of myself, drawn freely by hand by my friend, Fon Thanyaluck Predatanasirikul. In accordance to her perespective of my look from the outside, the essential features of my face, my neck, my hair as well as a part of my univerisity's uniform are sketched out, quite systematically, on a piece of paper.  As I wore glasses it is too depicted in the drawing, higlighting the essence of realism. My weavy hair is also carefully layered out, as I have natural loose curls, together essembled with my left fringe.

Craving for 'Bubble Tea'?

'Bubble tea' or 'Pearl milk tea,' for the past decade has risen in its popularity, especially among the new generation. The reasons being that it is pratical to drink, an 'on-to-go' type of consumption, with a lot of varieties to choose from, reasonable in price and that it tastes simply delacious. 'Bubble Tea,' nowdays appeal to a wide variety of consumers, and although it has originally been popular among Asian people, nowdays as a consequent of gloablaization, 'Bubble Tea' is also famous among the Westerners as well. With many shops all over the world today, establishing their own 'Bubble Tea' business providing their customers access to the 'Peal milk Tea,' phenomenon. This picture reveal a type of 'Pearl milk tea,' taken at a 'Bubble tea' shop, at Sukumvit area in Bangkok, in which instead of using normal tea to make the pearl milk tea, the traditonal thai tea, with its unqiue flavour, originated in Thailand is used. For people who love 'Thai tea' and 'Bubbe tea', this new combination is very desirable, and as a result it has turn out to be a great success, in the current time in Thailand, alongside other 'Bubble tea,' selections on the menu.

Back to simplicity

On one early morning at Amphwa, a snapshot of this amazing scenary was taken. A very inspiration image that left one to wonder about the way of life of the people who live in this area, with the river so close by. The essence of simplicity and transqulity are potrayed so magnificiently that one is left feeling so calm and pleasant, while at the same time also feeling perplexed by what is unknown behind this lifestyle. Transforming to life these thoughts by the elements within this image, including the calm river, a temple surrounded by many tall trees, and a Buddhist monk rowing a boat towards the temple. It stirred and urge for one to spent more time with nature, and to leave the hectic busy life of the city behind, to discover something new beyond what one may think they knew.

Scream for Ice-cream!?

This picture stired up an essence of mixed feelings and thoughts. As it offers the viewers not only a sense of dersire but hiddens something beneath its literal meaning. Of which this picture represents five mini ice-cream on a cone with different flavours, whereby its literal name is known as the 'baby set.' What is interesting about this image, that can be noted, of which fuel a thought of inspiration to take this picture is the idea that this image truely represents how far society has come. In that the petits ice-cream of different flavours with the small cones, sitting on top of the ready-to-eat packaged box, evidently exposed the reality world. Whereby because there are different types of consumers, businesses in order to race forward in today's competition world, must initiate plans to meet the criteria of their customers. Just like in this case, these small ice-creams are targeted at a rather much younger generation. An ideal for kids, for people who are on a rush (very suitable for the city life), or simply for anyone who love to try new things.

Aboriginal Artwork

Aboriginal Artwork is one very inspiration pieces of art, because of its uniqueness, and the way that it provoke a sense of mystery behind its lavish beauty. Like in this picture, that was taken in Sydney from a shop near the famouse 'Opera House', displayed Aboriginal artwork that was used to decorate objects and atefacts, in which has long been a tradition in the Aboriginal culture. In order to express and communicate their knowledge and their perceptions of the world around them. The amazing usage of dots, lines and swirls together with the combinations of different bold and bright natural colours, and the symbolic animal that can be found in Australia, as a whole reinforced the very heart of Aboriginal art and the essence of an intergrated culture of the Aborgines.

One memory comes to life

This picture conjur up feelings of a potential catharsis experience. With two people from a distant, sitting down appearing to be having a conversation, against the backdrop of the calm blue sea surrounded by nature and man-made objects. The shades of blue, the colours of the clear sand and grass are positioned, to be percieved like a cut-ed sections of parrallel angles, dictating an essence of order and tranquillity. While the tree and other objects within this photo, allow the picture to be more complete, because of its boldness and the sense of realism it adds to the image, of what appear to be a memory of one's life.
